David R. Lorenzi
President and Chief Executive Officer, Director
David joined Advanced Bio-Surfaces, Inc. in September 2007 as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining ABS, David served as President and Chief Executive Officer for both OMNI life science, Inc. and PLUS Orthopedics USA, Inc., companies that focus on the orthopedic segment of healthcare, primarily with joint reconstruction products. In addition to OMNI life science and PLUS Orthopedics, David has also held various field, senior and executive level management positions with companies including Ethicon, Orthofix, EMPI and Medtronic. David received his B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He has participated as a member of the Board of Directors of PLUS Orthopedics, Inc., OMNI life science, Inc. and Enztec, Ltd. He has also held previous board positions with Youth Education in the Arts and has been an Advisor to the San Diego chapter of Heart to Heart International.

Jeffrey C. Felt, M.D.
CTO
Dr. Felt is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is a founding fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He was managing partner of a large rheumatology private practice until 1995. Dr. Felt founded ABS in 1994 and brought the company to full operation in 1997. In 1998 he founded Disc Dynamics, Inc. which was spun out as a separate company in August of 2000. In 2005 he founded Vertebral Technologies, Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of ABS. Dr. Felt is the lead author on many of the ABS, DDI and VTI patents.

Robert D. Siegfried
CFO
Mr. Siegfried joined ABS as an employee in July 2005. He has broad financial and business background, with extensive experience in strategic planning and budgeting, acquisition analysis/integration, business process improvement and systems implementations. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Siegfried worked for Thomson West Publishing, a legal publishing company as Senior Director, Financial Systems. From 1974 to 1999, Mr. Siegfried held various finance positions in business units and corporate and international finance leading to Vice President, Corporate Finance at Medtronic, Inc. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration Accounting from the University of St. Thomas.

Keith M. Peeples
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Peeples joined ABS as an employee in January 2007. He has over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and sales training in the healthcare industry. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Peeples was Vice President of Sales at The ASC Network, a startup healthcare company which offered a supply solution to physician owned or procedure based centers. From 1998 to 1999 Mr. Peeples was a consultant to ABS. From 1995 to 1998 Mr. Peeples was Director of Sales North and South America at Medtronic / InStent a provider of self expanding stents for gastroenterology, urology, radiology and peripheral vascular procedures. From 1981 to 1995 Mr. Peeples worked with Pentax Precision Instrument Corp., a provider of flexible endoscopes for use in gastroenterology, pulmonology, general and thoracic surgery, urology and ear, nose and throat, as Western Regional Sales Manager and as an independent sales representative. Mr. Peeples has a B.A. in Biology from the Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

Mark A. Rydell
Director, Accessory Development
Mr. Rydell joined ABS in 1997. He has 23 years experience designing medical devices. In 1983 he was one of the founders and a design engineer for Angiomedics which was subsequently bought by Pfizer. From 1988 to 1993 he was Vice President of Research and Development at Everest Medical, an electrosurgical instrument manufacturing company. From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Rydell led his design company Rydell Design, Inc. He has more than 60 patents for medical devices and instruments. Mr. Rydell has a B.A. in Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College.

William J. Arnold, M.D.
Medical Director
Dr. Arnold held the full-time position of Vice President and Medical Director of ABS between July 1997 and July 2002. He now continues in the role of Medical Director as a consultant to the Company. Dr. Arnold is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He is practicing rheumatology as a Partner in the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to 1997, Dr. Arnold served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in suburban Chicago. Dr. Arnold has an active, ongoing research interest in the pathogenesis and minimally-invasive therapy of osteoarthritis of the knee. He is the founding president of the Advocate Medical Group, a 270 member physician multi-specialty group in Chicago. Dr. Arnold has served on the Board of Directors of two large integrated delivery systems, Advocate Healthcare in Oak Brook, Illinois, and Allina Hospitals and Clinics in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
